Job summary

Charles Sturt University Sydney is seeking sessional lecturers to teach in the Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) and Master of Professional Information Technology (MPIT) programs. Teaching occurs in person at our North Sydney campus, with classes scheduled between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM, starting 14 July 2025.

You will also contribute to research activities and mentor students. Responsibilities include delivering lectures, tutorials and workshops, engaging with students via the LMS, marking

Qualifications

Master’s degree or PhD in Information Technology or related field.
Proven teaching experience at university level preferred.
Ability to teach and assess students effectively.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Effective classroom management and problem-solving abilities.
Commitment to diversity and equity in education.
Attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

Teach at bachelor and master levels with guidance from coordinators.
Deliver lectures, tutorials, and workshops in person on campus.
Engage with students via the LMS and provide consultations.
Mark assessments and complete administrative tasks.
Pursue professional development and scholarly activities.
