Job summary

For Purpose Aged Care in Melbourne is seeking an experienced IT Commissioning & Deployment Engineer to lead end-to-end IT infrastructure commissioning for new facilities and major site expansions. You will work with project teams, vendors and clinical staff, travel locally and interstate, and ensure environments are tested, ready, and transitioned to business as usual.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering IT infrastructure deployments for new sites, refurbishments or complex technology implementations.
• Hands-on experience with networking, servers, endpoints and peripheral technologies.
• Ability to read construction/CAD documentation and interpret it for IT deployments.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking including Wi‑Fi, switching, routing and firewalls.
• Knowledge of identity and access management and cyber security controls.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, change and release management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical commissioning and deployment of IT infrastructure for new facilities and major technology initiatives.
• Coordinate deployment activities across infrastructure, applications, cyber security, service desk and operations teams.
• Review documentation, conduct site surveys and manage IT design requirements.
• Oversee equipment staging, configuration and deployment (networks, servers, devices, access control).
• Develop and execute commissioning, testing, migration and cutover plans.
• Manage technical readiness, risk, defects and acceptance activities.
• Support go-live and transition to operational support teams.
• Produce technical documentation, asset records and as-built diagrams.
• Coordinate external vendors, consultants and trades to ensure project outcomes.
