Select Harvests in Victoria is seeking a full-time Irrigation Hand at our almond orchard near Lake Powell. You will operate and maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient water delivery and healthy crops, supporting daily orchard operations.

Ideal candidates have experience with irrigation in agriculture, good communication, and a willingness to learn. You will work with tractors and pumps and contribute to sustainable farming and quality production.

Responsabilités

• Operate and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring efficient water delivery across the orchard.
• Carry out basic nursery duties, including monitoring moisture levels.
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of irrigation equipment such as pumps, filters, and valves.
• Coordinate with the farm management team to support crop needs through effective irrigation practices.
• Perform tree maintenance, weed control, and assist with fertigation and fertilisation tasks.
• Operate farm machinery, including tractors, telehandlers, sprayers, and other equipment.

About the role

Join our team as a full-time Irrigation Hand at our almond orchard located near Lake Powell, VIC. This crucial role focuses on maintaining and managing irrigation systems, supporting the health of our crops and the overall operation of the orchard. You will play a key part in ensuring effective water usage, maintaining irrigation equipment, and contributing to the success of our horticultural activities.
