Job summary

XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking an OT Architect to design and implement IP/MPLS networks for IPTV, Triple Play, Metro-E, CORE and Mobile Backhaul. The role emphasizes L2/L3 MPLS, BGP, DMVPN, and industrial Ethernet (PROFINET/Ethernet-IP) with focus on security and scalability.

You will lead architecture, perform validation, and collaborate with tendering, TPM and business development teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 (unicast and multicast) and clock synchronization for designing IP/MPLS networks.
• Experience with Ethernet based industrial networks (PROFINET/Ethernet-IP).
• Experience in NB-IoT and CAT-M1 solutions.
• Strong background in IP technologies, data communication, LAN/WAN, MPLS and VPN services.
• Familiarity with cyber security frameworks (NIST, AES-CSF, Purdue).
• Leads IP/MPLS solutioning and end-to-end architecture, including L2/L3 MPLS, LDP, BGP, DMVPN, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Support Tendering Team on BOM and High-Level Solution reviews.
• Work with TPM on man-hour estimates for projects and services delivery.
• Assist BD Manager with RFP clarifications to help secure orders.
• Design validation and implementation approaches; lead testing with engineers and customers.
• Lead IP/MPLS solutioning and create reusable test docs and templates for POCs and trials.
• Champion the High-Level Architecture for IP/MPLS projects and provide end-to-end guidance.
