Job summary

Kenbury in Melbourne is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join our established advisory platform. You will contribute across the transaction lifecycle, combining financial analysis with transaction execution and client interaction.

You will build and review models, run valuations, and support due diligence while taking increasing ownership of transactions. The role offers exposure to General Industrials and Financial Sponsors within a respected independent firm.

Qualifications

• IB/independent advisory experience with M&A execution.
• Excellent academic record and strong financial fundamentals.
• Proven ability to build and review models and valuations.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Kenbury is partnering with a leading independent investment banking firm seeking an Associate to join its Melbourne team. The opportunity would suit someone with strong M&A execution experience who wants to deepen their technical expertise and take increasing ownership of transactions.

The opportunity

Working closely with experienced senior bankers, you will contribute across the transaction lifecycle, combining detailed financial analysis with transaction execution and client interaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building and reviewing financial models, valuations and transaction analysis.
• Executing M&A and strategic advisory mandates across a range of sectors.
• Preparing client presentations, information memoranda and board materials.
• Managing due diligence and coordinating key transaction workstreams.
• Supporting junior bankers and taking responsibility for the quality of deliverables.

About you

We are interested in candidates with investment banking or established independent advisory experience who bring:

• An excellent academic record.
• Strong technical financial modelling and valuation skills.
• Demonstrated M&A execution experience.
• The ability to manage workstreams independently with close attention to detail.
• Sound commercial judgement and clear communication skills.

Experience across General Industrials or Financial Sponsors would be valuable, although candidates from other sector teams with strong transferable execution skills are encouraged to apply.
