Job summary

LagardèreAWPL is hiring an Inventory Controller to maintain accurate inventory control across airport retail and warehouse environments. You will ensure stock is receipted, recorded, stored and transferred between warehouse and retail stores following company procedures.

The role requires disciplined stock control, regular cycle counts, investigation of variances, and strong attention to detail with the ability to lead and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in inventory management and logistics.

• Proficient with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and reporting tools.
• Flexible to work various shifts and possess valid working rights.
• Ability to obtain Aviation Security ID Card.

The Role:

The Inventory Controller is responsible for maintaining accurate and effective inventory control across the airport retail and warehouse environment.
The role ensures stock is accurately receipted, recorded, stored and transferred between the warehouse and the retail stores in accordance with the company procedures. The Inventory Controller maintains inventory accuracy through disciplined stock control processes, regular cycle counts and investigation of stock variances.

What You’ll Do:

• Inventory Control & Stock Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using business systems
  • Receive and process stock in line with company procedures
  • Verify deliveries against invoices and purchase orders
  • Investigate and elevate stock discrepancies
  • Ensure stock is accurately counted, labelled, stored, and transferred
  • Manage stock movements between warehouse and retail stores
  • Monitor and control high-value and high-risk inventory
• Stock Accuracy & Cycle Counting
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory checks
  • Investigate stock variances and determine root causes
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through approved adjustments
  • Analyse inventory trends and recommend process improvements
  • Support stocktakes and inventory audits
  • Monitor system exception reports including Negative SOH and non-scan reports
• Warehouse & Retail Store Replenishment
  • Coordinate timely and accurate stock transfers to stores
  • Ensure stock requirements are fulfilled through effective picking and checking processes
  • Process inventory movements accurately within systems
  • Maintain efficient warehouse stock control practices to support store replenishment
• Compliance & Safety
  • Follow inventory, warehouse, WHS, and loss prevention procedures
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and organised work environment
  • Report inventory risks, incidents, and process issues promptly
  • Stay up to date with company policies, procedures, and system changes
• What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience in inventory management; logistics and supply chain knowledge
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Organisational excellence and attention to detail
  • Confidence using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and reporting tools
  • Problem-solving, high communication skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts where needed
  • Valid working rights & ability to obtain an Aviation Security ID Card
