Job description
The Role

As an Inventory Controller, you will be responsible for :

  • Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring stock levels are up to date and discrepancies are minimized.
  • Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and reconciliations to track inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances by liaising with warehouse and production teams.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of stock adjustments, write-offs, and replenishment orders.
  • Work closely with procurement and operations to manage inventory turnover efficiently.
  • Accurately enter and maintain inventory transactions, stock movements, and purchase orders in the D365 ERP system (or similar).
  • Generate and analyse inventory and stock reports to support decision-making.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance within the ERP system.
  • Process customer orders, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with freight providers and warehouse staff to manage inbound and outbound stock movements.
  • Verify dispatch accuracy and assist in resolving freight-related issues.
  • Administer weighbridge operations as required.
  • Manage customer inquiries related to inventory availability, deliveries, and orders.
  • Maintain strong communication with suppliers, transport providers, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Process credit requests, purchase orders, and invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain all inventory documentation, order records, and stock reports as per company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with OHS / WHS regulations and site safety protocols.
  • Support other regional hub administration tasks as required.
You will have
  • Previous experience in inventory control, stock management, or logistics administration.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP / MRP systems (D365 preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience investigating stock variances and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Freight and dispatch coordination experience will be highly regarded.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
