Job summary

Murrell Freight Services, a Wollongong-based family business, seeks a Heavy Vehicle Truck Driver for its Interstate Transport Team. You will operate heavy vehicles, ensure on-time deliveries, and assist with loading and compliance across interstate routes.

Applicants should hold an MC license with a clean record; road train experience is preferred but not essential. We offer ongoing training, weekly pay, and a supportive team environment driven by safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must hold MC license with a clean driving record.
• Road train experience preferred but not essential.
• Experience with various freight types and load restraint systems.
• Strong time management and knowledge of road rules.
• Experience or ability to operate onboard reporting technology (tablet).
• Committed to safety and NHVAS compliance.
• Applicants outside Illawarra may be considered depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy vehicles to transport freight across interstate routes.
• Adhere to routes and schedules for timely delivery and pickup.
• Assist with loading/unloading and ensure load restraint compliance.
• Maintain accurate logs, fuel/toll receipts, and pre-trip inspections.
• Collaborate with transport manager and team.
• Maintain vehicle safety and comply with company policies.
