Job summary

EY Sydney is seeking a Tax Manager to lead domestic and international tax advisory, due diligence and transaction support for a diverse client base including private equity, multinationals and funds across multiple sectors. The role offers collaboration with a national team and potential flexible hours.

You will mentor junior staff, manage projects and help deliver high-quality client service while staying current with evolving tax laws and practices.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience in Australian tax consulting or related advisory roles.
• Experience advising on domestic and international tax matters across M&A life cycles.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with client interaction.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients on domestic and international tax matters across the M&A life cycle.
• Preparing tax opinions and reports on tax matters including supply chains and restructurings.
• Managing projects and coordinating input from team members to deliver timely solutions.
• Building client relationships and delivering high-quality service.
• Guiding junior team members and staying updated on tax law changes.
