ASC in Australia’s submarine program is seeking an Internal Communications & Engagement Advisor to strengthen alignment, engagement and culture across the business. You’ll work at the intersection of communication, leadership and employee experience to connect people to our purpose, priorities and future.

You’ll shape messages, support change, and deliver campaigns, events and content that inform, involve and inspire our workforce.

Qualifications

• Experience in internal communications, employee engagement, communications or a related field.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor content to different audiences.
• The ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation.
• Strong project management and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
• A proactive mindset and a willingness to challenge, influence and improve communication outcomes.
• High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

Internal Communications & Engagement Advisor

ASC is Australia’s submarine company. We built the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats’ service lives. As an Internal Communications & Engagement Advisor you’ll play a key role in strengthening alignment, engagement and culture across ASC. Working at the intersection of communication, leadership and employee experience, you’ll partner with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver communication strategies and engagement initiatives that connect people to our purpose, priorities and future.

You’ll help leaders communicate with clarity, support organisational change, drive workforce engagement and ensure employees have the information, context and connection they need to do their best work.

From strategic business updates and leadership communications to employee engagement programmes, recognition initiatives and major organisational campaigns, you will influence how ASC communicates and how employees experience our organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’re naturally curious, highly organised and love turning information into clear, engaging messages that people actually want to read.

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
