Job summary

Prosperity Adviser's Group (PAG) in Sydney is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to join the Corporate Assurance team. You will support Directors, auditors and clients while ensuring smooth day-to-day operation and delivering planning, execution and reporting of internal audit engagements.

You will develop strong client relationships, hone technical and interpersonal abilities, and contribute to PAG’s growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher qualification in accounting or business.
• Minimum five years in audit or risk consulting.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and managing client relationships.
• Progress towards CIA or equivalent professional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal audit plans and risk assessments.
• Supervise fieldwork and deliver high-quality reports within budgets and timelines.
• Mentor and develop audit and assurance staff.
• Contribute to growth initiatives and cross-service line collaboration.
• Support Directors, auditors and clients in engagements.

About the Team Our Corporate Assurance team in Sydney is looking for an experienced Internal Audit professional on a full-time basis to join this excellent team in a top AFR 100 firm. The Corporate Assurance and Advisory teams of Prosperity Adviser's Group (PAG) offer a comprehensive suite of risk solutions, such as risk consulting and internal audit, to help clients tackle a wide array of challenges, changes, and opportunities.

About the Role

As an Internal Audit Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our Directors, auditors and clients while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our Corporate Assurance team. You will be involved in contributing to the planning, execution, and reporting of various internal audit engagements and risk consulting.

Developing strong client relationships and honing your technical and interpersonal abilities will be crucial areas of focus.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing a highly skilled internal audit and assurance team by providing guidance and mentorship.
• Develop strategic and annual internal audit plans, perform enterprise-wide risk assessments and conduct framework reviews.
• Develop and review internal audit scopes and risk and control matrices.
• Supervise and conduct fieldwork and prepare high-quality written reports or deliverables, adhering to budgets and timelines.
• Contribute to growth initiatives and business development of the practice by collaborating with Directors and other service lines across the broader PAG team.

About You

You thrive in a client-focused environment and have demonstrated success partnering with senior stakeholders across diverse industries to deliver practical and effective risk management solutions. Ideally, you'll bring:

• Strong experience in process mapping, risk assessment, and control identification.
• Sound knowledge of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards and Professional Practices Framework.
• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
• At least five years' experience in an audit or risk consulting environment.
• Experience working directly with senior stakeholders and managing client relationships.
• Progress towards, or completion of, a professional qualification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
• A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to balance technical expertise with commercial outcomes.
