Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking a senior data analytics professional to lead the use of complex data analytics and AI across its Internal Audit division. You will collaborate with audit teams to identify opportunities to leverage data and AI, communicate insights, and drive adoption of innovative technologies at Macquarie.

You will also contribute to solution development, coaching, and capability uplift, with a focus on data analytics and AI within assurance across financial crime portfolios.

Qualifications

Our internal Audit’s Innovation team advances the use of data analytics and artificial intelligence for assurance across a global financial services organisation. Our team work with audit teams primarily supporting audit coverage of the Financial Crime portfolio, to develop data-led insights, enhance assurance and support the adoption of innovative technologies across Internal Audit.

What role will you play?

In this role you will lead the use of complex data analytics and AI across a wide range of audit activities to deliver meaningful risk insights, including collaborating with audit teams to identify and assess opportunities to leverage data and AI. You will work closely with senior team members identify and communicate data-related insights and drive positive change across the whole of Macquarie. In addition, you will support the growth of data analytics and AI capabilities across internal audit through solution development, coaching, and sharing of leading practices.

What You Offer

• A background in data analytics, data management, data science, or a related discipline. Experience with coding such as SQL and Python, data visualisation with Power BI, and data analysis tools like Alteryx is essential to success in this role.


• Demonstrated experience using data analytics and AI tools to generate insights and solve complex business problems, with the ability to critically assess outputs, apply sound professional judgement and guide the work of others.


• Experience driving adoption of emerging technologies and AI through stakeholder engagement, coaching, experimentation, and capability uplift.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, influence senior leaders and present complex data and technology topics clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.


• A passion for learning, innovation, and continuous improvement. Qualifications or experience in internal audit, assurance, or risk management will be an advantage.
