La Caisse is offering a full-time, six-month internship in Sydney within the infrastructure team. You will work alongside experienced professionals, assist day-to-day tasks, and contribute to complex financial modelling and due diligence across opportunities aligned with CDPQ's investment strategy.

The role requires prior experience in investment banking, project financing, private equity or consulting, strong analytical and communication skills, and fluency in English (French preferred).

• Dynamic, curious, rigorous with strong analytical abilities and good interpersonal skills.
• Financially numerate with good Microsoft Office skills as well as Bloomberg and Capital IQ.
• Writing and verbal fluency in English and preferably French.

Mansioni

• Work within the Sydney infrastructure team alongside experienced professionals and assist them in various day-to-day tasks.
• Participate in complex financial modeling and highlight key issues for various potential investment opportunities that may be suitable for consideration by CDPQ.
• Collaborate in assessing the valuation of potential investments aligned with CDPQ's investment strategy, using various methodologies as required (DDM, multiple, etc.).
• Participate in the drafting of papers and supporting documents that will be presented to CDPQ investment committee.
• Participate in the coordination of due diligence workstreams.
• Prepare internal and external reports in a timely manner.
• Proactively monitor news and gather information from key sources.
• Produce targeted sectoral studies (portfolio companies or potential markets).
• Assist in the management of portfolio companies.

Job Description Role

• Prepare internal and external reports (transaction tracking, market highlights, ad hoc presentations) in a timely manner
• Proactively monitor news and gather information from key sources
• Produce targeted sectoral studies (portfolio companies or potential markets)
• Assist in the management of portfolio companies

Requirements

• Prior experience in investment banking, project finance, private equity or consulting
• Dynamic, curious, rigorous with strong analytical abilities and good interpersonal skills
• Financially numerate with good Microsoft Office skills as well as Bloomberg and Capital IQ
• Writing and verbal fluency in English and preferably French
• Although Australian resident candidates would be preferred, other applicants who already obtained a student pass with the right to work in Sydney for the duration of the internship would be considered
