Job summary

Auspro Accounting in Rocklea, Brisbane, is seeking an intermediate taxation accountant to join our small, friendly team and develop a long-term career.

You will be CA/CPA/IPA qualified (or studying towards) with at least 1 year public practice experience, strong tax knowledge and the ability to work autonomously to deliver accurate BAS/IAS, tax returns and financial statements for a range of clients.

Qualifications

• Prepare BAS/IAS returns, income tax returns, and financial statements.
• Assist clients with business registrations, ATO registrations, and ASIC secretarial tasks.
• Support clients with bookkeeping, including payroll processing.
• Communicate clearly with clients to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions.

We are a private Accounting firm based in Rocklea Brisbane. We provide financial and business service to the community, currently seeking a motivated intermediate taxation accountant who is skilled, to join our friendly small team and develop a long-term career.

Qualification & experience

CA/CPA/IPA Qualified accountant or studying towards completion

Minimum 1 year plus public practice experience

Completed accounting degree

Thorough knowledge of tax rules

Experience with and/or willing to learn software & accounting systems, e.g Xero, Quickbooks, MYOB, Handisoft

Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills

Fluency in Mandarin/Cantonese would be beneficial

Reliable, Punctual, Professional with good attitude, able to work autonomously & be self-motivated

Tasks & responsibilities

• 1. Preparation of BAS/IAS returns, Income Tax Returns, Financial Statements for all types of entities
• 2. Assisting clients in registration of business, ATO registration, ASIC Secretarial tasks
• 3. Assisting clients with general bookkeeping tasks including payroll processing, training to clients
• 4. Clear communication with clients, understanding clients' unique needs and offering tailored solutions
