Job summary

MW Recruitment is recruiting for an Intermediate or Senior Accountant in Brisbane, offering a $75,000 - $100,000 package. You will work with an experienced Partner and an offshore team to deliver high-quality accounting and taxation services, while developing client relationships and leadership skills.

You’ll be supported to grow technical expertise, review work, and take on increasing responsibility in a well-established Brisbane firm with a broad client mix.

Qualifications

• This role requires current Australian public practice experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of financial statements, income tax returns and activity statements.
• Experience reviewing work or mentoring junior team members (or a desire to step into this responsibility).
• CA or CPA qualified, or currently studying.

Responsibilities

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Preparing complex BAS and IAS.
• Reviewing work prepared by offshore accountants, including BAS, IAS, income tax returns and year-end accounts.
• Working directly with clients to resolve accounting and taxation matters.
• Delivering tax planning, business advisory and ad hoc accounting and taxation advice to a diverse client base.
• Managing workflow to ensure deadlines and client expectations are achieved.

About the role

Working closely with the Partner and Manager, you'll play an integral role in delivering high-quality accounting and taxation services while helping to oversee workflow across the team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for a diverse portfolio of clients
• Preparing complex BAS and IAS
• Reviewing work prepared by offshore accountants, including BAS, IAS, income tax returns and year-end accounts
• Working directly with clients to resolve accounting and taxation matters

About you

You’ll ideally have:
