Inteliprint in Newcastle, NSW, is seeking an enthusiastic Intermediate Graphic Designer / Customer Service assistant to support our small team. This role blends design work with client service, ensuring artwork is print-ready and brand standards are maintained.

You will handle artwork prep, pre-press tasks, liaise with clients, and contribute to marketing materials. The position is part-time, four days per week (30.4 hours), with flexible hours and a competitive base salary of AUD55,000–70,000

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in graphic design / pre-press / customer service.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Interest or experience in print production and pre-press workflows.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain brand consistency.

Your Role

This position focuses on graphic design and customer service support, ensuring every job is professionally designed, files are set-up correctly and ready for seamless print production.

Learn how to manage the technical side of print projects while helping customers bring creative concepts to life-delivering polished artwork and an exceptional client experience from start to finish.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Providing excellent customer service, responding to enquiries and guiding clients through artwork requirements
• Liaising with clients to clarify briefs, resolve artwork issues and recommend practical print solutions
• Pre-flighting and preparing client-supplied files for professional printing
• Setting up artwork correctly for various print applications (bleed, trim, colour profiles, resolution and imposition)
• Identifying and resolving file issues before they impact production timelines
• Completing artwork amendments and ensuring brand consistency
• Designing marketing materials, promotional products, signage and other print collateral when required
• Maintaining organised file management and workflow systems
• Supporting the Print Production team by delivering accurate, press-ready files along with production where required
• Print & Finishing (as required) Over time gain familiarity with our print and finishing equipment to provide additional support to the team

This role is ideal for a people-focused all-rounder with a genuine drive to learn, develop and grow.

What We're Looking For

• Intermediate - expert skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop essential). Additionally, intermediate to advanced skills in Canva would be highly regarded, but not essential.
• Photography and videography skills for use across our social media and website marketing would be highly regarded, though not essential.
• Strong understanding of best practices for preparing print-ready artwork.
• An strong level of attention to detail - you spot what others miss
• A willingness to learn the art of print production - colour management, bleed, trim, resolution, print specifications, print processes, stock types & finishing techniques.
• A mature mindset with a calm, solutions-focused approach
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to high quality outcomes
• Minimum 2+ years' experience with graphic design / pre-press / Customer service

What We Offer

We offer an excellent remuneration package, well above industry standards, with a base salary of between $55,000 & $70,000 pa (pro rata) to be confirmed, based on experience.

This is a part-time position, working four days per week. 30.4 hours per week. Flexible hours are available
