Job summary

You will work with cloud accounting tools like Xero and QuickBooks, prepare financial statements and tax returns, and contribute to advisory services in a modern Brisbane office with mentoring and clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree (or near completion).
• 1–3 years’ experience in public practice.
• CA or CPA started or in progress.
• Foundational understanding of Australian tax compliance.
• Experience with cloud accounting software (Xero preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Fast learner able to pick up new systems quickly.
• Intermediate technical skills with growth mindset.
• Strong communication and client engagement.
• Positive, proactive attitude and team player.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements and income tax returns for a broad range of clients.
• Prepare BAS, IAS, and management reports using Xero and QuickBooks.
• Support senior team on client engagements and advisory work.
• Assist clients with general accounting and tax queries.
• Contribute to tax planning and business advisory engagements.
• Maintain accurate and well-organised working papers.
• Provide support to the wider team with ad hoc tasks.
