National Institute of Integrative Medicine (NIIM) Hawthorn invites a VR-registered GP to join a holistic, patient-centred practice that blends conventional general practice with integrative therapies. The role offers independence as an Independent Contractor and the chance to work across a multi-disciplinary team.

Deliver comprehensive care across the lifespan, with emphasis on prevention, wellness, and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Full VR – AHPRA registration with the ability to work unsupervised.
• FRACGP or ACRRM or equivalent, or on the vocational register.
• Medicare Provider Number eligibility for rebates.
• ABN and professional indemnity insurance in place.
• Australian work rights and location freedom.
• Experience in integrative medicine.

Responsabilités

About NIIM

Based in Hawthorn, NIIM Clinic is a large integrative medical clinic, combining general practice with wellness-focused therapies including naturopathy, mentalhealthand allied health support. We provide integrative care forthousands of patients each year,with a strong focus on preventive health, holisticwellbeingandchronic disease management.

NIIM also offers patients a range of therapies including IV therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, hyperthermia, and has a comprehensive herbal dispensary on-site. NIIM also conducts world class research at our lab in Hawthorn.

Anchored in evidence-based integrative medicine, we support practitioners with regular free education and the opportunity to work alongside highly experienced Integrative GPs and practitioners.

The Role

As an Integrative GP working at NIIM, you will provide high‑quality comprehensive general practice care across the lifespan, combining conventional general practice with a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary, integrative and holistic approach to promote long‑term wellness.

Conduct thorough consultations, examinations and investigations to diagnose and manage patients, and consider lifestyle, supplements and evidence-based complementary therapies alongside conventional medicine. Your knowledge of integrative and lifestyle medicine, and ability to assess and diagnose underlying drivers of chronic and complex illness will be key to your success.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering evidence‑based, patient‑centred general practice care in an integrative practice setting
• Manage chronic conditions, with a strong focus on preventive health
• Collaborate with allied health and complementary providers
• Maintain accurate, confidential clinical documentation
• Participate in audits, accreditation, CPD and quality improvement activities
• Uphold professional standards, ethical conduct, and clinic values

You must have:

• Full VR – AHPRA registration – with the ability to work unsupervised
• FRACGP or ACRRM or equivalent, or are on the vocational register
• Hold, or be eligible to hold, a Medicare Provider Number for A1 Medicate rebates
• ABN & professional indemnity insurance
• Location freedom and Australian work rights
• Experience and/or further training in integrative medicine
