Barry Nilsson is seeking an Associate to join its Insurance team in Sydney. You will work on complex defence and coverage matters, with emphasis on construction, property, statutory liability and professional indemnity claims.

You will collaborate with a large team of specialists headed by experienced principals, and you may access structured mentorship and development opportunities to advance your career.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in defendant insurance or litigation, focusing on construction, property, statutory liability and/or professional indemnity claims.
• Ability to manage your own file load efficiently.
• Strong client relationship skills and a collaborative approach.

About the Role

An engaging opportunity awaits you asan Associate in our Insurance team in Sydney. We offer a range of complex, highvalue defence and coverage matters with a focus on construction, property, statutoryliability and professional indemnity matters. You’ll collaborate with a large teamof specialists in their field headed up by Simon Black and Thomas Byrne –principals who are committed to empowering you and your career progression.

About You

If the following sounds like you, wewould love to hear from you:

• you have 2-4 years of experience in the defendant insurance or litigation space, ideally with a focus on construction, property, statutory liability and/or professional indemnity claims;
• you can efficiently manage your own file load;
• you enjoy building client relationships and achieving excellent outcomes;
• you are a problem-solver who values collaboration and understands the importance of strong working relationships.
