Job summary

All Saints Anglican School Merrimac on the Gold Coast invites applications for passionate Junior School teachers to start from Term 1, 2027. Two full-time fixed-term positions available for 2027, commencing in Term 1.

The successful candidates will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum Version 9, differentiating instruction to meet diverse abilities and supporting student wellbeing within a collaborative school culture.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of evidence-based practice and the Science of Learning.
• Experience delivering lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum Version 9.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum Version 9.
• Differentiate instruction to support a range of abilities.
• Partner with colleagues to promote a low-variance, high-expectation approach to teaching and learning.
• Design effective assessment tasks and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Contribute to a collaborative teaching culture, sharing ideas, resources and effective practice with colleagues.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with students that support confidence, independence and personal growth.
• Take responsibility for students’ welfare both in and outside the classroom.
• Support positive student behaviour through clear expectations and consistent classroom management strategies.
• Work closely with families, junior school staff and learning support professionals to support each student’s learning and wellbeing.
