Job summary

Swan Christian College in Swan Valley is seeking a dedicated Design and Technology Teacher for a full-time, permanent role commencing 1 January 2027. You will inspire students through practical projects, fostering creativity, craftsmanship and a faith-centered approach to learning.

You will lead engaging D&T programs, nurture student progress, and contribute to the Christian life of the College within a supportive, faith-aligned community.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of Design & Technology, including CNC technologies.
• Ability to teach Metal and Woodworking.
• Strong understanding of contemporary teaching, learning and assessment practices.
• Meets National Professional Standards for Teachers and maintains high professional standards.
• Holds a current Working with Children Check and TRBWA registration, or willingness to apply.
• Desirable: Experience with Autocad or other drawing suites.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Design & Technology programs tailored to diverse student needs.
• Track, monitor and report on student progress and achievement.
• Maintain a positive, safe and effective classroom environment.
• Equip students with strong organisational and study skills.
• Partner with parents and staff to support student progress and wellbeing.
• Contribute to the pastoral, co-curricular and Christian life of the College.
