Job summary

IKEA in Sydney is seeking a Hospitality Operations Leader to oversee the Food team, drive safe, high‑quality food experiences, and promote a welcoming store environment.

You will coach co‑workers, improve operations, engage customers with IKEA Food products, ensure HACCP compliance, and lead change initiatives in a fast‑paced retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and support your team of co-workers by providing coaching, training, and development opportunities in an inclusive way that enable them to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance ways of working, operational efficiency, and both the co-worker and customer experience.
• Engage with customers and promote IKEA Food products, using creative merchandising techniques to inspire purchases and drive commercial results.
• Support the delivery of IKEA Quality and Food Safety standards by ensuring food is prepared and dated according to specifications, HACCP requirements are met, training is maintained, and daily routines followed.
• Ensure all areas of the Food department are well maintained, clean, organised, attractive, and welcoming to create a positive experience for customers.
• Lead the successful delivery of change initiatives within the department and across the store, helping co-workers adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment.
