Job summary

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Strategy & Projects, the newly created role of Innovation & Analytics Lead owns the “how” of delivery. The role will design, build and deploy decision-support and analytics solutions - including prototypes and proofs of concept, within a defined policy and responsible-use framework. The role contributes project and change management discipline with sufficient structure to support governance and track progress, without adding process or slowing delivery. Close collaboration with IT will ensure initiatives remain aligned to enterprise architecture, technology standards and cyber security requirements. The role's direct impact will be through solutions built and adopted and, indirectly, through training, coaching and knowledge-sharing that develops a cohort of internal practitioner-developers and raises organisation-wide capability in AI, analytics and decision-support tools.

About you

You bring recent, hands-on experience building and deploying AI solutions that are in use within a business, using current-generation technology. Backgrounds in quantitative analysis or data science are equally welcome, provided they're backed by tangible delivery experience in AI. You're someone who moves fluidly between technical depth and commercial judgement, translating business requirements alongside subject matter experts, then building the solution yourself. You bring project and change management rigour without needing formal process to do it, and you understand governance, risk, and the responsible use of data and AI as second nature. A working knowledge of financial markets products and services is advantageous. A tertiary qualification in a quantitative, analytical, technology, or finance discipline is also desirable.
