Infrastructure Private Equity – Core Plus, Investment Associate

Our client, a growing global infrastructure fund, is looking for an Associate with at least two to three years of relevant experience to join their expanding team of investment professionals. As part of the Investment Team, you’ll play a pivotal role investing in major infrastructure assets around the world. Working closely with senior investment leaders, you’ll be deeply involved in sourcing, closing, and managing complex global infrastructure deals.

Based in Sydney, this role offers regular collaboration with colleagues and investment partners across multiple international locations. It’s a chance to be part of a team shaping the future of infrastructure investing on a truly global scale.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the investment process: sourcing, due diligence, structuring, negotiating, and closing direct infrastructure deals.
  • Manage daily deal flow activities to ensure efficient progression through approval stages.
  • Prepare detailed investment recommendations covering market analysis, risk, valuation, and competitor review.
  • Present investment cases to committees and manage ongoing client communications.
  • Participate in asset management including board meetings, strategy reviews, and follow-on investments.
  • Collaborate closely with global teams across multiple time zones.

Ideal Candidate

  • 2-3 years’ experience in private equity (preferably infrastructure), infrastructure-related investment banking, transaction services, consulting, or relevant commercial roles (renewables, transport, utilities, datacentres, EVs, etc.).
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ambitious self-starter with a collaborative mindset and high ethical standards.
  • Relevant degree; CFA or CPA are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
