Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or accounting
• Master’s in Finance, MBA or CFA would be considered an asset
• Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience in investing / corporate finance / investment banking, in the infrastructure and project finance industries.
• Solid experience in financial analysis and modeling

Responsibilities

• Active participation in the analysis of investment proposals
• Build and review detailed financial models and highlight the key points of the investment thesis
• Provide valuation guidance of potential investments using the appropriate methodology (discounted cash flow, multiples, etc.)
• Perform in-depth due diligence of investment opportunities
• Lead the drafting of investment proposals for new investment opportunities
• Assisting senior collaborators in the negotiation of trade agreements, ownership structure and investment advice
• Contributing to the development of the business and strategic plans of CDPQ Australia
• Proactive monitoring of financial and operational indicators, as well as financial reports of portfolio companies
• Contribute to the portfolio value added by issuing recommendations on key industry trends and strategic issues of prospective portfolio companies identified by CDPQ Australia
• Prepare internal and external reports on portfolio companies according to the expected timetable
• Perform extensive research on industry trends and fundamentals related to the covered sector
• Produce detailed analysis on key infrastructure sector challenges and recommend strategies to implement
• Produce sectoral studies on potential target markets to develop
• Develop effective tools for research and market surveillance
