Position Overview
The Network Technology Recruitment is seeking a senior mid‑senior level Infrastructure Engineer – Team Lead to lead and oversee a team responsible for managing and optimizing mission‑critical IT infrastructure. This role plays a central part in ensuring availability, performance, and compliance. NV1 Clearance is a must‑have requirement for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Infrastructure Analysts and Coordinators to maintain consistent service delivery.
- Serve as the escalation point for advanced infrastructure issues, including incident resolution and change implementation.
- Oversee system availability and performance across test, pre‑production, and production environments.
- Collaborate closely with security, application, and DevOps teams to build and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Provide expert‑level guidance on automation, cloud strategies, and infrastructure optimization.
- Manage monitoring tools and processes to enable proactive detection and resolution of issues.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL‑based processes for incident, problem, and change management.
- Lead stakeholder engagement to communicate infrastructure health, risks, and project updates.
- Oversee capacity management and cost control across both on‑premise and cloud infrastructure.
- Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) reviews and provide on‑call support as required.
- Drive automation using tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, Python, and shell scripting.
- Maintain detailed documentation, SOPs, and internal knowledge bases.
- Support infrastructure lifecycle activities including patching, OS upgrades, and hardware refreshes.
- Manage and optimize hybrid cloud and multi‑vendor environments.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Infrastructure Support, IT Operations, or a related field.
- Deep technical expertise in VMware, AWS, and Microsoft Azure.
- Strong scripting and automation proficiency (Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Experience with Windows Server and Linux OS administration (RHEL, CentOS, Debian).
- Familiarity with managing databases in infrastructure environments (Oracle, SQL).
- Hands‑on experience with infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Nagios, Prometheus).
- Solid understanding of ITIL frameworks; ITIL v4 certification is preferred.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to manage teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
