Job summary

Centorrino Technologies in Canberra is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a technical team responsible for maintaining and supporting secure, highly available network infrastructure. This 12-month fixed-term contract focuses on gateway technologies, architecture, security controls and operations.

Qualifications

• Strong design and deployment experience of enterprise network infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, Cisco routers, Nexus switches and routing protocols (BGP/OSPF/EIGRP).
• Strong knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls and IPS solutions.
• Experience with F5, Blue Coat, Citrix NetScaler or Broadcom SWG, including Layer 4-7 switching, load balancing and proxy technologies.

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a technical team responsible for maintaining and supporting secure, highly available network infrastructure. This role will focus on gateway technologies, network architecture, security controls and infrastructure operations within a complex enterprise environment. This role will be a 12-month fixed term contract with opportunity for extension, based on-site in Canberra.

What You'll Do

• Maintain and support network gateway and infrastructure components in line with established architectures, standards and methodologies
• Design and implement network infrastructure across data centre and enterprise environments
• Translate logical network designs into physical solutions that meet capacity, performance and operational requirements
• Provide specialist technical advice on network architecture, infrastructure and security solutions
• Contribute to network recovery, contingency planning and alternative architecture design
• Identify technical risks and develop appropriate solutions and countermeasures
• Investigate network and security incidents, including suspected attacks, and support incident management activities
• Apply and support physical, procedural and technical security controls
• Contribute to operational policies, procedures, change initiatives and continuous improvement

What You'll Bring

• Strong experience designing and deploying enterprise network infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, Cisco routers, Nexus switches and routing protocols including BGP, OSPF and EIGRP
• Strong knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls and IPS solutions
• Experience with F5, Blue Coat, Citrix NetScaler or Broadcom SWG, including Layer 4-7 switching, load balancing and proxy technologies
• Experience designing and implementing VPN, DNS and email infrastructure, including Infoblox solutions
• Experience integrating hybrid and public cloud services into enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of network security, architecture, troubleshooting and incident management
• Knowledge of Australian Government information security frameworks, including the Information Security Manual (ISM) and Essential Eight, would be highly regarded
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide technical advice to both technical teams and senior stakeholders
• This role requires TPSV Security Clearance
