St John WA seeks an Infrastructure Lead to drive architectural leadership across Microsoft infrastructure, identity and cloud platforms in a permanent full‑time role within the Digital Services department. You will define target state architectures, govern security and ensure operational readiness in hybrid environments.

The role requires strong Wintel expertise, Azure knowledge, and proven solution architecture experience, with a focus on secure, resilient and scalable infrastructure.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years’ experience in enterprise infrastructure, including substantial Wintel across Windows Server and AD.
• Solution architecture experience, defining target state architectures and creating high/low level designs.
• Deep understanding of Azure architecture and hybrid integration (governance, networking, compute, storage, security, monitoring).
• Strong security fundamentals: least privilege, privileged access, secure baselines, PKI concepts, incident readiness.
• Ability to design, document and deliver infrastructure solutions meeting security, resilience, performance, and scalability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement; ability to translate complex concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with automation, scripting (PowerShell) or infrastructure‑as‑code (desirable).

Responsabilidades

• Set and maintain enterprise‑wide technical standards, patterns and priorities with architecture governance.
• Provide architectural oversight to delivery teams, mentor engineers, manage escalations and risks.
• Develop architecture artefacts including reference architectures and high/low level designs.
• Ensure implementations align to designs through reviews, validation, and handover.
• Develop remediation plans for technical debt and lifecycle risks; keep platforms modern and reliable.
• Guide resilient infrastructure design for storage, backup, DR, monitoring, and automation.
• Embed security‑by‑design practices with access controls and auditability.
• Manage people-related matters, support training and development, and coordinate on-call duties.
• Oversee resourcing and recruitment; ensure SOP-aligned operations.
