Job summary

Penola Catholic College invites an IT Teacher to join our innovative and contemporary learning environment. You will teach Information Technology to years 9–12, covering programming, robotics, and AI within a pathway through VCE and VET IT.

Qualifications

• Registered teacher with VIT or eligible for registration in Victoria (Australia).
• Experience delivering Information Technology curriculums aligned to Australian standards.

Responsibilities

• Teach Information Technology to year 9–12 students.
• Deliver programming, robotics, AI and emerging technology content within the IT program.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and engaging Information Technology Teacher to join Penola Catholic College and teach in an innovative and contemporary environment.

This is an ongoing position Full time or Part time.

As an innovative Information Technology Teacher you will strive to create a learning environment which engages and extends our students, enabling all students to flourish.

About You

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate and model contemporary teaching practice: understanding how students ‘learn best’ and have a demonstrated knowledge of the Australian curriculum frameworks. You will also be registered or have the ability to be registered with VIT. Graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.

You will also have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.

You will be required to teach Information Technology to years 9 to 12. Our IT program includes Programming and Robotics, Creative IT, AI and Emerging Technology, with pathways through VCE and the VET Certificate III in Information Technology.

About Penola Catholic College

Penola Catholic College is a co-educational college for students from years 7-12 with two campuses in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne. College campuses are situated in Glenroy, which caters for years 7 and 8, and the senior campus in Broadmeadows that features years 9 to 12 and a total college enrolment of approximately 1,400 students.

Salary

Salary will be in accordance with the CEMEA 2022
