Job summary

Thales Australia seeks an Industrial Process Engineer – Methods, Integration, Test & Deployment to lead manufacturing, repair, service, testing and integration plans. You will help define standards and ensure processes deliver quality at pace.

You will collaborate with APRU and suppliers, develop test strategies, drive continuous improvement, and optimise documentation, tools and workflows to reduce costs and cycles. Experience with Lean, TPM and industrial IT is valued.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of production and repair processes.
• Extensive knowledge of products and their manufacturing or repair processes.
• Knowledge of industrial management control.
• Basic knowledge of stock management and flow management methodologies.
• Implementation of continuous improvement and management tools (Lean, Gemba Walks, Compass Room, PDCA, TPM).
• Analytical and problem-solving techniques.
• Knowledge of production tools and dashboards (analysis, decision support).

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing, repair, service, testing and integration plans and procedures and assist with defining and maintaining applicable standards.
• Prepare the manufacturing / repair / service data file documentation.
• Support operational teams in implementing first-level maintenance (TPM) with maintenance teams.
• Define testing and burn-in strategy for equipment and subassemblies and industrial testability needs.
• Ensure production/support processes and tools are defined, implemented, prepared and optimised.
• Define and optimise documentation, tools and processes for production and repair based on R&D input.
