Metso in Tomago Workshop, NSW, is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to prepare, paint and finish mining equipment. You will join a safety-first team and contribute to high-quality workmanship.

You will work in a supportive workshop environment, develop your skills with experienced professionals and advance your career within a global leader in sustainable mining technology.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, blasting, masking and sanding.
• Apply industrial coatings and paint systems to mining equipment and components.
• Ensure all work meets quality and customer specifications.
• Conduct inspections and identify defects or areas requiring rework.
• Operate and maintain painting equipment and tools.
• Follow workshop procedures, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Work closely with workshop tradespeople, supervisors and planners.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.

About The Role

As an Industrial Painter, you will play a key role in preparing, painting and finishing a wide range of mining equipment and components. Working within our workshop team, you'll help ensure every product leaves the workshop to the highest quality standard while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

This position offers the opportunity to develop your skills, learn from experienced professionals and contribute to a high-performing workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience in industrial painting, protective coatings or a related trade

• Current driver's licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
