Responsibilities

• Perform industrial cleaning and housekeeping across power station areas.
• Remove dust, debris and waste from plant and work areas.
• Sweep, shovel, hose and pressure clean as required.

• Assist with waste removal in line with site procedures.
• Maintain safe access to operational areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely.
• Identify and report hazards and spills.

Job description

Programmed Energy & Resources is currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Industrial Cleaner to join our team working within a power station environment in Biloela.

We strongly encourage Biloela and surrounding local residents to apply.

This is a hands-on industrial cleaning position and is not a standard commercial cleaning role. You will be working across operational areas of the site and must be comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment around plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform industrial cleaning and general housekeeping across operational areas of the power station
• Remove dust, dirt, debris and industrial waste from plant and work areas
• Undertake sweeping, shovelling, hosing and pressure cleaning as required
• Clean floors, walkways, stairs, platforms, workshops and surrounding plant areas
• Assist with the removal and disposal of waste in accordance with site procedures
• Maintain safe and clear access to operational and work areas
• Safely operate industrial cleaning equipment and tools
• Identify and report hazards, spills and unsafe conditions
• Follow all site safety procedures, PPE requirements and supervisor directions
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping across allocated areas

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience working within an industrial or heavy-industry environment
• Current Driver's Licence
• Current White Card
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow site procedures and instructions
• A reliable and positive approach to work
• Physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual and physically demanding duties

Previous experience within power generation, mining, construction, manufacturing, processing or other heavy industrial environments will also be highly regarded.
