Job summary

The National Indigenous Training Academy (NITA), based at Ayers Rock Resort, is seeking a Youth Worker to live and work on-site at Yulara, NT, to support up to 80 trainees in dormitory-style accommodation during their 12-month traineeship. You’ll build strong relationships, promote safety, and help sustain the community’s wellbeing and cultural connection.

• Minimum Cert III Community Services or Cert III Youth Work.
• Working with Vulnerable People check required before starting.
• Experience in social and emotional support work is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate practical support (e.g., transport to medical appointments) for trainees.
• Undertake daily tasks to maintain the residential facility’s presentation and operation.
• Design, plan and deliver culturally safe activities to enhance wellbeing.
• Provide mentoring to help trainees complete their traineeship and achieve goals.
