Job summary

IP Australia offers a 12-month Graduate Development Program for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander graduates. You will rotate through the Policy & Stakeholders Group, gaining exposure to policy, economics and stakeholder engagement while receiving mentorship and structured development.

Based in Canberra or Melbourne for the first year, with relocation support. After successful completion, you may transition into ongoing APS5 policy or economics roles, with potential to work remotely from

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree completed (during or after Dec 2021) or due by Dec 2026.
• Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and provide heritage evidence.
• Open to diverse disciplines; no prior government experience required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 12-month Graduate Development Program with rotations.
• Support policy development and legislative reform in international forums.
• Engage with Indigenous and Strategic Engagement initiatives.
• Contribute to economic research and policy publications.
