Job summary

Sarah Redfern Public School in Sydney region seeks two School Learning Support Officers (1.0 FTE each) for ongoing, full-time roles. You will assist students with diverse learning needs in classrooms and other settings under teacher supervision, contributing to welfare, health and wellbeing activities.

Essential requirements include a Working with Children Check, mandatory Department of Education training, and potential first aid/medication administration training.

Qualifications

• Working with Children Check Clearance.
• Completion of mandatory Department of Education training; willingness to undertake first aid training.
• Administration of Medications – training to be provided.
• Health support training to be provided as required.

Responsibilities

• Support students with identified learning needs in classrooms and other learning environments under teacher supervision.
• Provide student welfare, health and wellbeing activities as required.
• Support students in streams/settings such as pre-school, vision support, hearing support and bilingual contexts.
• Collaborate with teachers to deliver structured, explicit and inclusive education programs.
