Job summary

Minerva School is seeking an experienced Assistant Principal to lead Special Education within a dynamic SSP environment in the Sydney region. The role focuses on inclusive leadership, differentiated curriculum delivery, and comprehensive support for students with complex social and emotional needs.

The successful candidate will drive Literacy and Numeracy progressions, play-based learning, and evidence-based wellbeing initiatives while managing teachers and support staff.

Qualifications

• Approval to teach Special Education required for Years K-12 with such needs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead differentiated teaching and learning programs.
• Evidence-based wellbeing, engagement and behaviour support strategies.
• Strong collaboration with families, allied health and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of differentiated teaching and learning programs tailored to diverse student needs.
• Oversee curriculum delivery including Literacy and Numeracy Learning Progressions and play-based learning.
• Lead school-wide wellbeing, engagement and behaviour support initiatives, including sensory regulation.
• Manage complex team dynamics, conflict resolution and case management within SSP settings.
