Department for Education in Kadina is seeking a Classroom and Disability Support Officer to assist teaching staff and provide inclusive education support for students with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.

You will support literacy and numeracy programmes in 1:1 or small-group settings and assist with clerical tasks to ensure smooth classroom operations. A Certificate III in Education Support is preferred, with a commitment to wellbeing and responsive teaching practices.

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with students, staff and parents from a diversity of backgrounds.
Ability to provide effective classroom support and use information to enhance student learning and wellbeing, particularly in a 1:1 setting/small groups.
Knowledge of strategies to support improved learning outcomes and wellbeing of students with learning difficulties, disabilities and / or challenging behaviours.

Responsabilités

Assist teaching staff in classroom and learning activities.
Provide inclusive education support to students with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.
Support 1:1 and small-group literacy and numeracy programmes; perform clerical tasks to aid classroom operations.
