Job summary

Sutherland Shire Council is seeking ISS Support Workers to join our Early Education & Child Protection Team in Sydney, NSW. You will help children with higher support needs participate in early childhood education by providing extra care in a safe, nurturing environment.

You will work with educators to tailor play-based activities to each child's interests and abilities, fostering an inclusive space where children learn, grow and build positive relationships.

Qualifications

• WWCC required for paid employment.
• First Aid and Child Protection training required.
• Experience in early childhood education and care settings.
• Experience supporting children with additional or high support needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist children with additional support needs during daily routines (meals, rest, hygiene).

What You'll Do:

• Work closely with families and educators to support each child's development.

What You'll Bring:

• NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment.
• Commitment to undertake First Aid and Child Protection training.
• Experience working in early childhood education and care settings.
• Experience supporting children with additional or high support needs.

• Interview date:Interviews will be facilitated within 2 weeks of job ad closing.
• Hourly Rate:$30.81 gross per hour plus 12% superannuation.
• Package:$60,887 gross p.a.(salary paid pro-rate for part time roles)plus 12% superannuation.The Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) Worker Retention Allowance will be applied to these roles in addition with Federal Government guidelines.
• Hours of work:Temporary Part Time - multiple roles available across our 11 centres.Applicants must be able to work a range of shifts from 6am - 7pm to support the operational requirements of the centres.
