Job summary

Southern Cross University is seeking an Inclusion Support Advisor to support accessibility, inclusion and compliance with disability legislation. You will assess student needs, develop adjustments, and implement inclusive practices across campuses.

The role emphasizes collaboration with students, staff and faculties to foster equitable access and success. The position is part-time 80% on a continuing basis, based at multiple NSW/QLD campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and experience in allied health, special education, social welfare, mental health, occupational therapy, speech pathology or related field.

Your opportunity

The Study Well team provides inclusive learning and wellbeing support that empowers students to reach their potential. As an Inclusion Support Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the University's commitment to accessibility, inclusion and compliance with disability legislation.. You’ll work collaboratively with students and staff across the University to assess learning needs, recommend reasonable adjustments, and support the implementation of inclusive practices.

You will make an impact by:

• Assessing student needs, developing tailored learning access plans and reasonable adjustments
• Providing expert advice on disability inclusion, assistive technology and inclusive education practices
• Partnering with academic and professional staff to facilitate equitable access and success

What You Will Bring

You’re a collaborative and solutions-focused professional who can navigate complex situations with professionalism and sound judgement. You understand the value of inclusion and have a strong grasp of disability support principles, with the ability to translate them into practical action.

To succeed in this role, you will also need:

• A bachelor’s degree or higher and experience in allied health, special education, social welfare, mental health, occupational therapy, speech pathology or a related field
• Proven experience in disability services and familiarity with the challenges and barriers faced by students with disability in accessing and succeeding in higher education.
• Strong understanding of legislation, policies, and guidelines related to disability services and inclusion in education.
• Strong problem-solving and judgement skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage students, staff and stakeholders effectively

Your opportunity is:

• Part-time (80%), continuing (permanent)
• Located at either Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450, Gold Coast, QLD 4225, or Lismore, NSW 2480. Relocation assistance is available, making it easier to join our regional communities.
• HEW Level 6. The base salary for a full time position ranges from $95,961 - $105,250 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $123,143.
