Job summary

The Salvation Army Orange Salvos Store is seeking a values-driven Sales Assistant to support the Store Manager with daily store operations and to provide an inspiring in-store experience for customers and the local community.

This permanent, full-time role in Orange, NSW, follows the Retail General Industry Award, Level 3. The position emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and flexibility across locations and rosters.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail sales is helpful but not essential.
• Strong customer service skills are required.
• Ability to deliver excellent service in a busy retail environment.

• High energy, hands-on; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store operations and sales.
• Operate Point-of-Sale devices and process transactions.
• Sort, price, and display donated items in-store.
• Support visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Provide exceptional customer service to customers and community.
• Maintain stock in correct departments and follow safety policies.
• Work across locations and include weekend shifts.
