Suncorp's Corporate Legal Advisory team is seeking a junior lawyer to move in-house early, building corporate and commercial experience with hands-on exposure to complex matters. You will draft and review commercial contracts, assist with M&A and capital raisings, and collaborate with stakeholders across the Group while benefiting from a supportive, inclusive culture and 50% hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Hold a law degree and be admitted to practice with a current practising certificate.
• 1–3 years of post-admission commercial legal experience from a mid- to top-tier firm.
• Experience in corporate and commercial law, including general contracting and preferably M&A.
• Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills.
• Diligent, eager to learn and develop professionally.

Responsabilités

• Draft and review commercial agreements, including procurement, sponsorship, partnership and technology contracts.
• Support M&A transactions, capital-raisings and other corporate projects.
• Prepare legal research, first drafts, practical advice and matter updates.
• Contribute to knowledge management and leverage the legal AI platform.
• Assist in configuring the legal AI platform for other parts of the business.
• Work with senior lawyers and stakeholders across the Group.
• Identify and advise on legal, commercial and regulatory issues.
• Develop technical capability through training and varied work.
