Job summary

Australian Unity Limited is seeking carers for our Home Health program in New South Wales to provide in-home support so clients can live independently and safely at home.

You will perform domestic tasks and some personal care, building strong relationships with clients and their families while following health and safety guidelines. Flexible rosters, Part-time or casual contracts, and opportunities to grow through the Traineeships program are offered.

Qualifications

• 12 months or more of relevant experience within Aged Care and/or Health Services, delivering personal care.
• Good verbal and written English skills.
• Flexibility and availability to work rosters between Monday to Friday.
• A current Australian Drivers Licence and ownership of a reliable vehicle.
• Current First Aid Certificate or arrangements to obtain one at no cost.
• All Australian Unity employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (Booster optional).

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Assist clients with some personal care services including showering and toileting.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and their families.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines to keep yourself and customers safe.
• Report any issues or changes in health and wellbeing through the proper channels.
