Job summary

Kummara Ltd. is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Organisation established in 1999 to provide support to vulnerable families at risk. The Intensive Family Support program offers in-home support to families with children aged 0 to 18 to strengthen family functioning and safety.

We are recruiting for two full-time, office-based Family Support Practitioners. The positions offer competitive remuneration at SCHADS level 3 or 4 depending on qualifications and experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in relevant field.
• Knowledge of Queensland Child Protection system.
• Understanding of risk assessment frameworks.
• Vaccination against whooping cough or willingness to obtain.
• Hold a valid Queensland Drivers Licence.
• Positive notice in Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or be able to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive, in-home support to families with children aged 0–18.
• Deliver Intensive Family Support services to families at risk.
• Engage with families to improve functioning and safety.
