Job summary

Australian Unity is recruiting caring professionals to support older Australians in their homes across the Forster region, including nearby communities. You will provide domestic tasks, personal care and companionship, delivering person-centred care with empathy and respect.

Applicants should have 3+ months of aged care experience, a valid Australian Driver's Licence with their own car, and be available for 6 hours daily between 8am and 6pm on weekdays; weekend shifts may be offered to

Qualifications

• Live in the Forster area or surrounding communities.
• 3+ months paid aged care experience.
• Australian Driver's Licence with own car.
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 8am–6pm, Mon-Fri; some weekend rosters may be available.
• Complete the 2-week Brilliant @ Basics Training on start.

Responsibilities

• Domestic support: cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
• Personal care: showering, grooming, toileting and mobility support.
• Medication assistance.
• Social support, transport and companionship.
• Promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing.
