Job summary

TAFE NSW is seeking an Assessor of School Based Education Support at Strathfield Campus. This permanent part-time role (21 hrs/week) offers a salary package of 103,956 AUD, including base salary and superannuation/leave loading, pro-rated for part-time.

You will assess students, ensuring completion of tasks and identifying additional training needs. You will work with teachers and students to assess practical skills and workplace performance, supporting quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Hold a Certificate IV in School Based Education Support.
• Evidence of holding the appropriate qualifications to assess Vocational Education and Training.
• Demonstrated understanding of VET and Higher Education regulatory compliance requirements.
• Willingness and ability to travel to complete assessor visits as per business needs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out independent assessments and grading for students, focusing on completion of tasks and identifying areas for training.
• Assess practical skills and workplace performance, conduct workplace visits, review assessment evidence and support quality and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with teachers and students to ensure learners can demonstrate required skills and enter the workforce with confidence.
