Qualifications

• Must be registered as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA.
• Commitment to women-centred, evidence-based midwifery practice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with women, families and colleagues.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate safe, responsive care across maternity settings.
• Capacity to recognise and respond to changes in a woman’s condition and escalate as needed.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and as a solo operator when required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based midwifery and nursing care across the maternity continuum.
• Collaborate with women, families and the multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate care.
• Provide safe, responsive care and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Support the delivery of high-quality, women-centred maternity services.
