Job summary

Mediix in South Australia is seeking a Consultant Paediatrician to join a growing regional healthcare team. You will provide care across outpatient, inpatient and emergency settings, and lead and mentor junior medical staff.

Qualifications

MBBS or equivalent with Specialist Registration in Paediatrics (AHPRA).
Experience in both general and emergency paediatrics.
A passion for providing high-quality care and improving rural healthcare systems.
Strong clinical leadership and collaborative teamwork skills.
Experience in mentoring junior doctors and contributing to educational programs.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional care in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency paediatric settings.
Lead and mentor junior medical staff, fostering their growth and development.
Participate in audits, quality improvements, and risk management initiatives.
Be an integral part of multidisciplinary team meetings and community health programs.
Contribute to research, education, and training within the department.
Be available for on-call emergency services as required.
