The ideal candidate collaborates with general education teachers and service providers, uses data-driven instruction, maintains IEP data, and fosters an inclusive classroom focused on student growth and achievement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• NJ state teaching certification or reciprocity eligibility.
• Experience with special education in urban classrooms.
• Experience using data-driven instruction to improve student gains.
• Knowledge of completing and using the IEP Data Collection Toolkit.

Responsibilities

• Design ambitious assignments and outcomes aligned to IEP goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and service providers.
• Monitor progress toward IEP goals and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Use data to inform instruction and measure student growth.
• Maintain non-instructional records and communicate with families.
• Create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment.
