Southern Cross Education Institute (SCEI) invites an experienced Trainer & Assessor to join our Adelaide campus and lead Diploma of Community Services delivery. You will design engaging sessions, integrate real-world practice and support students through their learning journey.

Leveraging industry background, you will develop materials, assess competency and provide feedback within an inclusive, student-centred environment to help learners build meaningful careers in the community services

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Youth Work, Counselling or related discipline.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent.
• Experience delivering competency-based training and assessment.
• Ability to engage and support students from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, professional standards and ethical frameworks.
• Commitment to inclusive education and student success.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom and practical training for the Diploma of Community Services
• Develop, review and continuously improve learning and assessment materials
• Provide meaningful feedback, academic guidance and ongoing student support
• Conduct fair, consistent competency-based assessments
• Maintain accurate student, assessment and progress records
• Ensure training and assessment practices meet regulatory, quality and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to enhance the student experience
• Foster an inclusive, respectful and student-centred learning environment
