Job summary

IAG Defence & National Security (DNS) is recruiting an experienced ILS Manager to plan and coordinate Integrated Logistics Support for a national security program. You will work with engineering, operations and project teams to deliver sustainment solutions and report on performance, with on-site requirements and potential DISP-related pre-engagement checks.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years' experience in ILS, sustainment management or logistics engineering.
• Experience developing ILS or sustainment programs for complex systems.
• Ability to analyse supportability data and identify risks and issues.
• Experience creating acquisition and support documentation in line with Defence policies and frameworks.
• Experience supporting the sustainment of mission-critical systems.
• Degree in engineering, ICT supply chain or related discipline.
• Experience supporting sustainment projects in Defence environments, and familiarity with Defence sustainment frameworks, highly regarded.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced ILS Manager to join a national security agency, planning and coordinating Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities that keep mission systems sustained and operationally ready. This is an ILS professional role that also carries some project management tasks, working under general direction.
You'll work with engineering, operations and project teams to turn system requirements into practical support solutions across the lifecycle, and report on sustainment performance to inform decisions. Given the sensitive nature of the environment, not all work areas can accommodate remote work, so your working arrangement will depend on the team you're assigned to. Successful candidates will also need to complete an Organisation Suitability Assessment (OSA) before commencing, and the engaging vendor must hold current Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) membership.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience creating acquisition and support documentation in line with Defence policies and frameworks
• Experience supporting the sustainment of mission-critical systems
• Degree in engineering, ICT supply chain or a related discipline
• Experience supporting sustainment projects in Defence environments, and familiarity with Defence sustainment frameworks, highly regarded

Engagement Details

• Location: ACT, QLD or VIC
• APS5 to APS6 equivalent
• Onsite. Work from home is not always available, depending on the assigned team
